It is a fact, that the Indian administration has been in a state of indecision for quite sometime on trade and use of cryptocurrency in the country. A long-awaited cryptocurrency bill has been presented to Cabinet Union Cabinet and still awaits its approval. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman stated in the 3rd week of august this year, that she had got the draft prepared regarding cryptocurrency (bill) and was waiting for the Cabinet to sign the bill. In the past, an inter-ministerial committee headed by Secretary (Economic Affairs) had also submitted their report regarding cryptocurrency. At present, cryptocurrency is subject to no regulations in India, and therefore, it is an area of uncertainty for Indian users and investors equally.
